Mental Health Counseling

Not everything that brings someone in is about a substance.

We work with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and the weight of a hard season, using approaches that actually fit you.

Mental Health Counseling: what it is

Plenty of people come in without any substance use at all. They are anxious, low, grieving, burned out, or carrying something from years ago that never got dealt with. That is exactly what this part of the practice is for.

Counseling here is practical. We figure out what is actually going on, set goals that feel reachable, and use approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy that give you something to work with between sessions, not just talk.

We work with

Some of what people come to us carrying:

  • Anxiety, stress, and a mind that will not slow down
  • Depression, low mood, and losing interest in things you used to enjoy
  • Grief and loss, including losses other people expect you to be over
  • Trauma and PTSD, and postpartum depression

How we work on this together

We start by understanding what is actually going on for you and what you want to feel different, then set goals that feel reachable rather than overwhelming.

We draw on approaches that fit you, including cognitive behavioral therapy, so you leave with real coping skills, not just an hour of talking.

Telehealth is available when getting to the office is hard, and you are met where you are, without judgment, the entire way.
